If your Smart Hub is currently disconnected, follow these steps:
Note: Setting up the internet connection while disconnected can be done either via Ethernet cable or GreenIQ Hotspot mode. This section describes the Ethernet method. For Hotspot click here.
- Step 1: Remove the GreenIQ Smart Garden Hub cover and connect the supplied Ethernet cable (RJ-45) to the unit's Ethernet Port (Figure 8 at image below).
- Step 2: Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to a free port in your Internet router.
- Step 3: Connect the Power Adapter to the unit's Power Adapter Port.
- Step 4: Plug the Power Adapter to an electrical inlet.
Setting up Wi-Fi connection:
Before you begin, make sure both lights on your Smart Garden Hub are steady green (not blinking).
Step 1: Open the GreenIQ Web app at http://greeniq.net from any browser on your smartphone, tablet, PC or Mac.
Step 2: Enter your username and password, and select click Sign In.
Step 3: From the main menu, select Status and verify that your Smart Garden Hub is online.
Step 4: Return to the main menu, then select Internet Setup. A list of wireless networks available at your unit's location is displayed.
Step 5: Select your wireless network, then enter its name (SSID) and password. You can leave the password blank if this is an open wireless network.
Step 6: Click the "Submit" button and follow the on-screen instructions.
Step 7: Wait a few minutes until you get the following on-screen alert: "Wi-Fi setup succeeded!". Press "OK".
Step 8: Unplug the Smart Garden Hub.
Step 9: Plug the Smart Garden Hub back in.
Step 10: From the main menu, select Status, make sure your Smart Garden Hub restarts with the new WiFi connection.
Note: It might take a few minutes for the Smart Garden Hub to connect to the new network.
